
Katie Crosby

Katie Crosby began her formal dance training in high school at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA), developing a strong foundation in classical ballet. She continued her training in New York City at Paul Taylor Studios, Joffrey Ballet, and SUNY Purchase College, where she earned her BFA in Dance Performance.
Katie went on to dance professionally with Ohio Contemporary Ballet and internationally with Ballet Contemporáneo de Burgos in Spain. Her career has also spanned dance education, community engagement, and arts leadership, including roles with DANCECleveland and as Director of School at Oberlin Dance Theatre.
Now based in Wilmington, Katie remains active as a performer with Forward Motion Dance Company and through Dance-a-lorus and Opera Wilmington productions. She currently serves as Director of Development for UNCW’s College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts, continuing a career dedicated to performance, arts education, and strengthening connections between artists and their communities.
